New Notifications Hub
Release 8.3 introduces a new central Notifications Hub within Liaison Link Mobile. Candidates and medics can now access their notifications from one place, including notifications that have been dismissed or are no longer visible on their device. Notifications are organised into Today and Older, making it easier to identify recent updates. Notifications will remain available in the app for up to 30 days.
Key Functionality
- Access notifications from the new bell icon.
- View notifications received from different areas of Liaison Link in one place.
- See the notification title, supporting information and the time or date received.
- Retain notifications within the app after the device alert has been dismissed.
- Receive notifications within the hub while actively using the app.
Benefits
- A single place to view important updates.
- Reduced risk of missing notifications.
- Improved visibility of notifications across Liaison Link.
- Easier access to recent and previous notifications.
Notification Filters and Unread Indicators

Users can also apply an Unread filter to display only notifications they have not yet opened. Unread notifications are clearly highlighted within the Notifications Hub. A notification indicator will also appear against the bell icon when new notifications are available. Where device permissions allow, the Liaison Link app icon will display an unread notification badge.
Benefits
- Faster access to relevant notifications.
- Clear visibility of new and unread updates.
- Easier navigation for users receiving different types of notifications.
Improved management of notifications across Liaison Link.
Opening and Managing Notifications
Where supported, selecting a notification will take the user directly to the relevant area or item within Liaison Link Mobile.
If the user is not currently signed in, they will be asked to authenticate before being redirected. If the item is no longer available or the user no longer has access, an appropriate message will be displayed.
Users can organise their notification list by:
- Selecting and deleting multiple notifications.
- Using Select All to manage the currently displayed list.
- Swiping an individual notification to delete it.
- Automatically marking a notification as read when it is opened.
Benefits
- Quicker access to relevant information and actions.
- Reduced navigation through the app.
- Greater control over the notification list.
- Clear guidance when an item is no longer available.
Push Notification Preferences
Users can now manage their push notification preferences directly within Liaison Link Mobile.
From Notification Settings, users can:
- Enable or disable all Liaison Link push notifications.
- Manage push alerts for individual notification categories.
- Review whether notifications are permitted within their device settings.
- Continue receiving notifications within the Notifications Hub even when device push alerts are disabled.
Preferences are retained when the app is closed and reopened. When opening a version of Liaison Link that supports push notifications for the first time, users may be asked to allow notifications through their device settings.
Benefits
- Greater control over which alerts appear on the device.
- Preferences tailored to the individual user.
- Notifications remain accessible within Liaison Link when push alerts are muted.
Clearer guidance when notifications have been disabled at device level.
